Sales promotions that you haven't tried

Are your customers responding to your marketing messages or do you feel like no one even knows you exist? Sometimes we continue to market over and over to the people that have not purchased from our businesses in years. Outdated marketing lists along with the same old marketing campaign over and over can get tiring on your customers and they may choose not to respond to it. Here are some new sales promotions you need to give a shot if your marketing department is in need of a little creativity to jump start their juices again:

1.       Social media. If you aren't on social media, you need to get on it quickly. Social media sites are used by millions of people and you can reach out to a new audience by getting on these sites. Facebook and Twitter are very popular but social media is also related to blogs as well. Use a blog to post new information for your customers that you don't want to post on your website. Some companies even consider the blog like their outlet place to finally connect and interact with their customers.

2.       Newsletters. Anyone with email can be a candidate for a newsletter sales promotion. You will need to set up some templates and make sure the information that you send out to your customers is timely and beneficial. As your newsletters become more and more popular, you can easily get people to start paying you for advertisements on the newsletter.

3.       Promotional giveaways. If you have ever won a free prize like a promotional t-shirt, you know how exciting it can be to get a nice giveaway. Giveaways allow you to advertise your business by posting your website on the shirt and to ensure your customers are able to see you information in a new realm.
